Dr Andrew Riley Volunteers in Samoa
Mon Sept. 30th 2013
Dr Andrew Riley spent a week in Samoa in September as part of a combined Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF) Pacific Eye Institute and Volunteer Opthalmic Society Overseas (VOSO) team.
A regular volunteer around the Pacific over the last 12 years, Dr Riley completed a number of cataract operations in the Government hospital in Apia. He worked with the local surgeons and gave a lecture to the local doctors.
As always he found the trip incredibly rewarding.
